Political influence

The Danish Insurance Association seeks political influence in such a way:

• that it supports the industry's long term development
• that it reflects the importance of insurance and pension to society
• that it considers the interest of the industry as a whole as well as that of the individual companies
• that it demonstrates understanding and respect for the society and the political environment we act in.

Our goals

The Danish Insurance Association is working towards seven general goals:

1. Improved reputation: At least 50 % of the Danish population should have a positive perception of the insurance and pension industry.
2. Increased openness and transparency: At least 50 % of the Danish population should view the insurance and pension products as transparent.
3. High ethical standards: At least 50 % of the Danish population should be of the opinion that the insurance and pension industry carries out business properly and responsibly.
4. High degree of professional competence: The key partners of the Danish Insurance Association should view us as a valuable discussion partner and as a negotiator of high professional calibre.
5. Strong network: The Danish Insurance Association's key partners should view us as visible and constructive.
6. Proactive profile: Our partners must be able to identify the Danish Insurance Association as an association with strong opinions and an extensive socio-political agenda.
7. Keen communication: The Danish Insurance Association's key partners should experience our communication as clear and relevant.
   

All companies, pension funds and general agencies dealing with insurance and pension in Denmark can apply for membership. Foreign companies which provide services in Denmark can apply for an information membership.

The majority of companies, pension funds and general agencies in Denmark are members of the Danish Insurance Association. Currently there are approximately 126 members.
